James Walker - Principal

James has 25 years experience working across investment banking, private equity and funds management, and as an entrepreneur in co-founding a number of businesses. He heads up Distribution and Sales in Australia for Trovio Capital Management and is a Non-Executive Director on the Board of a number of 153 East Partners' investee companies.

Previously James was Head of the Private Capital Group at ANZ Bank in Australia and an equity partner in the private equity group Blue Sky Capital in the US and the UK. Sectors of focus include digital assets, data centres, real estate, equipment hire, mining, agriculture and structured finance. James has also led mergers, acquisitions and capital raises across multiple transactions and has acted for both corporate clients as well as a wide variety of investors, including hedge funds, private equity groups, pension funds and family offices.

James was educated at Oxford University and has subsequently completed training programmes at a number of international business schools during his career.

Tim Breen - Principal

Tim has 25 years experience in the financial services industry encompassing banking, stockbroking, funds management and private equity. He is the Managing Director of Nilwaste Energy Limited and is a Non-Executive Director on the Board of a number of 153 East Partners' investee companies.

Previously Tim was the Executive Director of Education Holdings, a Hong Kong private equity backed company established to develop Australian curriculum schools in China, and a co-founder and managing director of Woodlawn Capital an Australian based alternate investment fund manager with offshore institutional clients. Tim started his career in stockbroking with Wilson HTM, Tricom, Tolhurst and Patersons Securities, where he gained many years of experience working with and completing capital raisings for a wide range of public companies.

Tim holds graduate and post graduate qualifications in Business and Applied Finance and subsequently became a graduate of the Australian Institute of Directors, a fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia and a member of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum.

Steve Bellotti - Advisory Board Member

Steve is a highly experienced and highly regarded Financial Markets veteran, with in excess of 30 years global experience managing complex global markets and banking businesses for Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and ANZ Bank. Steve has also founded and headed up his own private equity and asset management businesses. He is now an investor in and sits on the board of numerous private and listed companies.
